The best thing on Keto? You can eat all the fats and don’t need to fear it. You can eat it and will still lose weight. That’s the perfect form of nutrition for me. Of course I am not eating heavy cream loaded sweets treats all the time, but I know that I can have it every now and then. I am eating normally various vegetables, some berries, moderate to high proteins and lots of healthy fats. Sweet treats I only eat sometimes. But if I am in the mood for a good dessert I like this one very much.
It comes with really dark chocolate, heavy cream, eggs and xylitol. It is fluffy and full of chocolate.
Ingredients:
½ cup xylitol
2 chocolate bars
½ cup of butter
3 egg whites
3 egg yolks
2 cups of heavy cream
Preparation:
Melt the chocolate with the butter together
Mix the egg whites into a mousse
Mix the heavy cream to cream
Mix the egg yolk with some hot water until fluffy
Mix the chocolate-butter mixture into the egg yolk...
When you are on the ketogenic diet you are normally not hungry between the meals. I have my bulletproof coffee in the morning then lunch and dinner. That’s it- no snacks in between. But sometimes I am on the go the whole day and can’t have lunch. That’s when I opt for a energy ball instead of a bagel or a donut. I don’t say that it’s better to quit lunch for an energy ball or two, but for me it saves me from not grabbing something carb heavy from the next bakery.
You can do the energy balls in lots of different versions- just be creative. Mine is with gingerbread spice and cinnamon. I discovered my love for the gingerbread spice during last Christmas days and now I put it in lots of my desserts and baked goods. Tap the link in my bio for the recipe.
Ingredients:
2 cups hazelnut meal (almond meal is fine too)
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup coconut oil
1 tsp gingerbread spice
1 tsp cinnamon
½ cup xylitol
How to:
Mix all ingredients in the...
If you often feel bloated, tired and moody, you should try the ketogenic diet. It will definitely improve all those symptoms. You will not suffer from blood sugar spikes, which helps to maintain your energy levels and won’t have the highs and lows of a blood sugar rollercoaster. If you are skeptical about it, just give it a try for 14 days and get started on keto, then you can see how you feel. And I am sure it will be amazing!
2 years ago, I had a time where I was always tired, felt bloated and moody. I have 3 sons all under age 9 and sometimes it gets a bit stressful and draining when I don’t care enough about me. Sometimes you just don’t have the time – or you think you don’t have the time to do something for yourself.
