When you are on the ketogenic diet you are normally not hungry between the meals. I have my bulletproof coffee in the morning then lunch and dinner. That’s it- no snacks in between. But sometimes I am on the go the whole day and can’t have lunch. That’s when I opt for a energy ball instead of a bagel or a donut. I don’t say that it’s better to quit lunch for an energy ball or two, but for me it saves me from not grabbing something carb heavy from the next bakery.
You can do the energy balls in lots of different versions- just be creative. Mine is with gingerbread spice and cinnamon. I discovered my love for the gingerbread spice during last Christmas days and now I put it in lots of my desserts and baked goods. Tap the link in my bio for the recipe.
2 cups hazelnut meal (almond meal is fine too)
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup coconut oil
1 tsp gingerbread spice
1 tsp cinnamon
½ cup xylitol
