Turning yourself into a fat burning machine is not the only effect the keto diet has on your body. I have 3 reasons for you here why the ketogenic diet works for health and weight loss.
When you are in ketosis your body produces ketones which are the preferred fuel for your brain. Brain fog will disappear and you will concentrate and focus much better. The ketogenic diet also helps with Epilepsy. Many clinical studies showed that the ketogenic diet reduces the severity and the quantity of seizures.
Often it is said that the brain needs glucose to function well but that is a myth. If fat adapted the liver produces ketones which are a great source of energy for our brains. If your brain can use ketones there is no need for your body to get so much energy from the muscles. Because ketones are burned in different pathways and enzymes than sugar they cause a wide range of positive effects for brain health.

The keto diet is a extremely healing diet and it is as well for female hormones. The keto diet can help you in balancing your hormones in many ways. I made a video about it, because this topic is very near to my heart.
I talk about the 3 reasons why the keto diet helps in balancing female hormones. Suffering from hormonal imbalances must not be the status quo. You can change how you feel by the right diet. See here how it can help and why:
Reason number one is the consumption of healthy fats which balance and restores the hormones. Fat is the preferred fuel for your hormones.
Reason number 2: The low carb consumption balances insulin levels and keeps the bloodsugar under control. It increases the insulin sensitivity which is a great thing for your health and weight.
Number 3: The keto diet combats PCOS Symptoms and improves fertility.

Today I have a special guest on my Blog. It's Angela Glaz from Eka Yoga. She is an Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor and has got her own Yoga Studio in Seattle. I am a big fan of yoga and Ayurveda and practice yoga weekly. Since doing Yoga every week 2 times I felt so much better. It's grounding and I feel more connected with my body. And of course the flexibility. That's a huge win.

Described as the Vedic Science of Life, Ayurveda is a five thousand year old healing tradition originating in India. It is the sister science to yoga or the medical side of yoga. Ayurveda studies the harmony between humans and the environment and uses yoga, diet, and herbal formulas to bring wellness to an individual’s entire well-being. Ayurveda treats the individual as a whole and assists in maintaining overall health.
Chia pudding is a great dish to prepare in advance. You can just stir everything the night before quickly together and put it in the fridge. The next day you can enjoy a healthy, delicious and filling breakfast. You just ad whatever you like on top and you are good to go. I like to top mine with peanut- or almond butter and some fresh berries like blueberries, raspberries or strawberries. And the good thing about it is, that this meal is rich in omega 3’s which are so important for us.
